The Theodore Roosevelt National Park

I am writing tonight from our motel in Miles City, Montana. We've had a full day of sightseeing and then driving.  It is Sunday, and even a travel blogger needs a rest now and again, so Sunday's a good day to let my photographs speak for the day.

After a drive across some of the booming oil fields, and a quick lunch in Medora, North Dakota, we entered the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

For thirty-six miles, at 25 miles per hour, we took in the beautiful scenery, the badlands, the wildlife, the colors and the enormity of nature.

The rest of the afternoon was a drive across western North Dakota and eastern Montana.
